About us
The Escuela Suiza de Barcelona offers education from ages 3 to 18 following Swiss pedagogy and allowing students to obtain two certifications upon completing their studies: the Swiss Matura and the Spanish Selectividad. This dual recognition facilitates access to international universities and the possibility of studying and living in Switzerland.
The educational model is based on learning five languages from the earliest stages:
- German as the school's teaching language
- Spanish and Catalan integrated into the curriculum
- English and French as foreign languages
- Progressive multilingual education from early childhood
The school offers all educational stages with a schedule adapted to family needs. For students from P3 to 4th grade, school hours are from 9:20 a.m. to 4:35 p.m., while students from 5th to 12th grade attend from 8:35 a.m. to 4:35 p.m. The service can be extended from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. if families require it.
The pedagogical approach combines reason, emotion and action in the educational process. The values that guide school life include respect, solidarity, self-esteem and responsibility. The school promotes individual social and personal skills of each student in an environment where Swiss, Spanish and Catalan cultures coexist harmoniously.
