About us
This program emerges from direct collaboration with Swiss biotechnology companies to train professionals capable of converting scientific advances into viable commercial products. It is designed for those working in human resources, product development, operations, marketing, sales or other areas related to the biotechnology sector who seek to lead in this industry.
- First semester focused on biotechnology business fundamentals: biotechnology science and business, entrepreneurship and strategy, regulatory management and market access
- Training in biotech sector-specific financial management
- Industry seminars and company visits
- Critical thinking sessions, executive coaching and networking events
The second semester addresses biotechnology management and operations from a strategic perspective. Students learn to lead teams, optimize processes and comply with healthcare sector-specific regulatory frameworks. The training includes biotech leadership, commercial strategy, sales execution and biotechnology operations management.
Elective courses allow students to delve deeper into areas such as change management, venture capital, project management, healthcare process excellence, artificial intelligence applied to life sciences, technology transfer or disruptive innovations in biotechnology. This phase also includes training in legal aspects, regulatory compliance and healthcare industry ethics.
The third semester is dedicated to the final project and professional development. Students work on their thesis while developing their network of contacts in the sector. The program is delivered entirely in English in hybrid mode from Geneva, with a duration of three semesters. The faculty combines practical experience in the life sciences industry with updated academic knowledge.
Real projects with Swiss biotechnology companies enable students to tackle current commercial challenges in the sector, develop analytical capacity and prepare for leadership roles. This practice-based methodology establishes direct connections with the industry while acquiring knowledge immediately applicable to the professional environment.
