The center has specific specialization in diabetic foot, treating patients enrolled in the agreement with CatSalut. The team performs physical and neurovascular examinations of the foot, providing tailored advice according to each patient's risk level to prevent complications associated with this condition.
The clinical podiatry service covers the diagnosis and treatment of multiple conditions:
- Dermatomycosis and onychomycosis, affecting skin and nails respectively
- Onychocryptosis and onychogryphosis, ingrown or thickened nail problems
- Hyperkeratosis, helomas and subungual hematomas
- Warts, eczemas and hammer toes
- Silicone orthosis design
Gait examination constitutes another pillar of the center. A biomechanical examination is performed to observe how each person walks and detect points of hyperpressure. This analysis allows prevention of conditions such as hallux valgus, sesamoiditis, inclusion heloma or metatarsalgia. Pain associated with gait is also addressed through physical examination of the foot and detailed foot pressure analysis.
The custom insole service offers individualized treatment according to the needs detected in each examination. The goal is to achieve comfortable and safe walking, adapting orthopedic solutions to each patient's particular biomechanics.
The center is located at calle de la Diputació 120, in the Eixample district of Barcelona. Opening hours are Monday to Thursday in morning shift from 10:00 to 13:00 and afternoon from 15:00 to 19:00, while on Fridays they only open in the morning until 13:00.
