About us
La Institució Montserrat is a state-subsidized educational center in Barcelona that integrates academic training with social responsibility through active participation in solidarity projects and community service initiatives. The center promotes values of solidarity among students through concrete actions that allow them to contribute directly to social causes.
The center collaborates with different organizations and social aid campaigns:
- Banc dels Aliments for food collection for families in need
- Avismón, awareness and aid campaign
- Posa't la gorra, charitable fundraising initiative
- Collection of taps solidaris for charitable projects
- La Marató de TV3 for medical research
The service-learning methodology allows students to develop educational competencies while participating in actions that benefit the community. This pedagogical strategy combines curricular learning with community service, generating real impact on the social environment while reinforcing academic content.
The cooperatives de alumnes organize activities that generate funds for different charitable causes. The center also promotes initiatives such as "un origami un euro," where students' creativity becomes economic contributions to charitable projects. These activities foster teamwork, creativity, and social commitment from an early age.
The center maintains a communication system with families to inform them about the different charitable campaigns developed throughout the school year. This transparency allows families to participate in and support the social initiatives promoted by the educational center.

Early childhood education center that follows the Montessori method and the principles of Reggio Emilia pedagogy, with multilingual education in Italian, Catalan, Spanish and English for children aged 3 to 6 years.
Educational center with nursery for children aged 0 to 3 years in a renovated space, own kitchen, nursing service, and flexible entry and exit times adapted to families.
